SuiHub Dubai, the inaugural hub in a global series of centers aimed at supporting blockchain developers and entrepreneurs, has officially opened its doors. Situated in Expo City Dubai, a prominent tech hub in the region, the center will serve as a catalyst for collaboration and innovation.
Ghaf Studios and Sui have joined forces to establish SuiHub Dubai, with the goal of providing local Web3 founders and builders with the necessary resources and funding for their projects. This initiative is part of a broader effort to drive regional growth and development.
Renowned for its unparalleled performance and scalability, Sui is a Layer 1 blockchain network that has gained recognition in the industry. In collaboration with Ghaf Group, the leading blockchain partner in the MENA region, Sui has chosen Dubai as the ideal location for its first SuiHub. Dubai’s flourishing tech ecosystem and commitment to innovation make it the perfect setting for this milestone.
SuiHub Dubai will play a crucial role in Sui’s mission to establish a global network of workspaces and community centers dedicated to empowering builders in creating decentralized applications and advancing blockchain technology. The hub will offer Web3 startup founders access to workshops, technical support, community-driven events, funding, and technical expertise. This comprehensive support system will ensure that they have the necessary backing to launch and scale their projects using Sui’s blockchain infrastructure. Furthermore, the establishment of SuiHub Dubai will solidify Sui’s position as a leading platform for Web3 development in the MENA region, especially with Dubai’s rapid adoption of blockchain technologies.
Kostas Chalkias, Co-Founder and Chief Cryptographer at Mysten Labs, the developer of the Sui network, expressed his confidence in Dubai as the perfect location for SuiHub’s global debut. He emphasized Dubai’s progressive regulatory environment and its commitment to blockchain innovation, which align perfectly with Sui’s goals. Chalkias also emphasized that Sui plans to establish more hubs worldwide to provide builders with the necessary resources and support for their success.
Feras Al Sadek, Co-Founder and MD of Ghaf Group, expressed his excitement about the launch of SuiHub Dubai and its potential to empower local builders and entrepreneurs. He stated that this initiative represents a significant milestone in the development of Ghaf’s venture studio arm, which has grown from a simple advisory into a global initiative that will drive technology advancement in the region for years to come.
Kristof Lukovich, CEO of SuiHub, highlighted the mission of SuiHub to empower regional blockchain startup founders by providing them with the resources and support they need to foster growth and strengthen the regional ecosystem. Lukovich emphasized that SuiHub serves as a hub where talent, technology, capital, and opportunity converge, fostering collaboration and creating new synergies. He also mentioned the Q4 accelerator program, a collaboration with Brinc, CoinList, Sui, and Ghaf Group, which aims to nurture promising startup founders on a global scale. Lukovich concluded by highlighting SuiHub’s partnership with the American University of Sharjah in launching a blockchain academy to cultivate the next generation of blockchain-savvy local leaders.
Expo City Dubai was chosen as the site for SuiHub Dubai due to its recognition as a key location for companies focused on cutting-edge technology. This choice further strengthens Sui’s presence in the region, building on previous initiatives such as the partnership with the American University of Sharjah to launch the AUS-Sui Blockchain Academy. Sui’s recurring community networking events, including Sui Connect, have also paved the way for deeper engagement and collaboration with local developers, builders, and enthusiasts.
With the opening of SuiHub Dubai, Sui reiterates its commitment to building a decentralized, builder-led ecosystem that supports developers across various regions. Additional hubs are expected to be announced in the near future, each tailored to provide localized support and resources for blockchain developers building on the Sui platform.
